# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It's chocolate and marshmallows melted into pure comfort without anyone needing to huddle around a campfire.
  • The whole thing lives in one skillet, meaning minimal cleanup while you're busy celebrating with people you care about.
  • Nobody expects a homemade dessert that looks this festive and tastes this indulgent to come together in under half an hour.
02 -
  • The marshmallows need to go on top of the chocolate while the chocolate is still warm and melted, or they'll just sit there like little rafts instead of bonding into something cohesive.
  • If you pull the skillet out and the chocolate doesn't look fully melted, give it those extra 30 seconds, because cold spots will mess up the texture of your final dip.
  • Serve this while it's still warm; once it cools completely, it turns into a dense, fudgy brick that's harder to scoop, though honestly, it's still delicious that way if you have leftovers.
03 -
  • Use a spoon to stir the melted chocolate rather than a fork or whisk, because you'll actually be able to feel when it's completely smooth and free of lumps.
  • If you're making this ahead for a party, assemble everything except the marshmallow toasting step, then add them and bake when guests arrive so the marshmallows stay fluffy and picture-perfect.
